Statement of Faith

We Believe: Both the Old and the New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, and the Divine and final authority for the Christian life as the only rule of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16)

We Believe: In one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 6:38, Eph. 4:4-7)

We Believe: That Jesus Christ is true God and true man.  He came to earth being conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. (Matthew 1:18-24, Luke 1:35)

We Believe: That people were created in the image of God, but people sinned and are therefore lost and separated from God, and that only through new life through the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. (Gen. 1:26-27, Col. 3:10, Romans 5:12, Gal. 3:21)

We Believe: That Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins according to the Scriptures as a sacrifice, arose from the dead, and then ascended into heaven where He is now at the right hand of our Lord God as our High Priest and Advocate.  All who believe in Him are now justified on the ground of His shed blood. (Col. 2:9, 1 Thess. 4:14)

We Believe: That all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and therefore become eternal children of God. (John 11:25, 1 John 2:2, John 14: 26)

We Believe: That the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men of their sins, renew the believing sinner, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for Godly living and service. (Acts 2, John 16:8, John 15:26, Micah 3:8, Romans 15:16)

We Believe: In the second imminent visible and personal coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to establish His worldwide kingdom on earth. (1 Thess. 4:16-17, 1 Cor. 15)

We Believe: In the bodily resurrection of the dead; of the believer to everlasting life and joy with the Lord and the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting punishment. (Acts 24:15, Matt. 25,  1 Cor. 15:42)

We Believe: In the Great Commission which our Lord has given to His Church to evangelize the world and to disciple believers. (Mark 16:15)
